I love capturing souls through
my lenses

Portrait of photographer Juliana Gonzales in a New York apartment with city skyline

Hi there, I’m Juliana Gonzalez, a Colombian photographer based in New York City.

I started my photography journey in 2019, after I arrived in New York to pursue my dreams. I have dedicated my life to capturing the world through unique perspectives and angles fostering connections with myself and others through art.

I specialize in directing and shooting fashion photography, editorial photography, street photography, and portraits.

Since 2021, I have been working with Vogue Italy for New York Fashion Week shooting backstage, for world-class brands such as Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Marni, Altuzarra, Carolina Herrera, Peter Do, Dudas, and Kim Shui, among others.

My pictures are stories told in the form of images coexisting with light, colors, textures, people, and places. Embodying subtle emotions. A dance of life together as lights and shadows.

What
inspires
me?

I’m fascinated by exploring the femininity and masculinity that lives within each of us. Fearlessly breaking established preconceptions of society. I’m moved by exploring and creating images with personalities through the art of photography and fashion.

Women and fashion are my biggest source of inspiration.

I was raised by 4 strong women with differing life philosophies. I learned very early how to explore human energy to understand perspective. At an early age I was exposed to vastly different cultural environments while living in different towns and cities throughout Colombia. This exploration nurtured and influenced my perspective of art and life.
